Dr Husain will conduct a 60-minute examination of all patients which will involve the provision of a psychiatric diagnosis and a treatment plan.

Safe and confidential correspondence will be provided as part of treatment and there will be close collaboration with any other health care providers as required.

As a Psychoanalyst, Dr Husain will conduct psychoanalytic consultations with a view to undertaking the psychoanalytic treatment of patients.

Dr Husain will examine patients who present with any underlying forensic issues of sexual difficulties or violent tendencies and provide medical guidance on all psychiatric and psychological treatments that could be offered.

This assessment will be conducted in a safe and confidential setting.

Dr Husain will undertake medico-legal work and address requests from barristers, solicitors and defendants to advise on the availability of any mental health defences in criminal cases (such as legal insanity and automatism), address fitness to plead and stand trial issues, the medical safety in relation to any extradition issues, and the impact of mental disorders on the culpability of convicted offenders.
